Decision approving the appointment of Androula Vassiliou as a Member of the Commission

The European Parliament adopted a resolution approving the appointment of Mrs Androula Vassiliou as a Member of the Commission for the remainder of the Commission's term of office until 31 October 2009. This follows the nomination by Cyprus of Mrs Androula Vassiliou for appointment as a Member of the Commission, and the hearing of the Commissioner designate before Parliament’s competent committee on 1 April 2008.
