Decision approving the appointment of Antonio Tajani as a Member of the Commission

PURPOSE: to appoint Mr Antonio TAJANI to be a member of the European Commission.

LEGISLATIVE ACT : Council Decision 2008/380/EC, Euratom appointing a new member of the Commission of the European Communities

CONTENT: this Decision appoints Mr Antonio TAJANI to be a member of the European Commission for the period from 9 May 2008 to 31 October 2009. His appointment follows the resignation from the Commission of Mr Franco FRATTINI in a letter dated 7 May 2008, followed by a letter dated 8 May 2008.
