Freedom of information in Italy and other EU Member States

Following the debate held on 8 October 2009 at its part-session in Brussels, the European Parliament held a vote on the nine draft resolutions that were tabled on freedom of information in Italy and other EU Member States. All the resolutions were rejected, including two joint resolutions tabled, respectively, by the EPP, ECR and EFD groups and the S&D, ALDE, Greens/EFA and GUE groups. The other resolutions were tabled by the individual political groups.
The results of the vote on the nine resolutions were as follows (in order of voting):
