Mobilisation of the EU Solidarity Fund: flooding in Italy in 2011

The European Union adopted by 658 votes to 7, with 16 abstentions, a resolution approving the proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on mobilisation of the Solidarity Fund to provide the sum of EUR 18 061 682 in commitment and payment appropriations to assist Italy (Liguria and Tuscany) hit by severe flooding in 2011.
In parallel, an amending budget has been adopted in order to enter in the 2012 budget the corresponding commitment and payment appropriations (see BUD/2012/2057).
