2004 Budget: section III, Commission

PURPOSE : final adoption of the general budget for the European Union (15 Member States) for the financial year 2004. LEGISLATIVE ACT : 2004/132/EC, Euratom. CONTENT : the budget is adopted in accordance with the priorities defined by the budgetary authorities at the conciliation meeting of 24 November 2003 and the vote in plenary, at second reading, by the European Parliament (please refer to the summary of the resolution dated 18 December 2003). The budget is valid for the EU-15. From 1 May 2004, the official date of enlargement, an amending budget shall complete the present budget and take account of the expenses related to the enlargement process (BUD/2004/2009).�
