The European Parliament adopted by 526 votes to 48, with 42 abstentions, a decision in which it delivered a favourable opinion on the Council’s nomination of Alex Brenninkmeijer (NL) as a Member of the Court of Auditors after having agreed that his credentials fulfilled the requirements laid down in Article 286(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
