Court of Auditors: appointment of a Slovenian member

Following the recommendation of its Committee on Budgetary Control, the European Parliament decided by 404 votes to 222 with 70 abstentions to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council’s nomination of Samo JEREB as a Member of the Court of Auditors.

Before the vote in plenary, the Committee on Budgetary Control had assessed the qualifications of the proposed candidate. It had subsequently heard the candidate at its meeting of 15 March 2016.
