Court of Auditors: appointment of a Maltese member

The Committee on Budgetary Control adopted the report by Igor ŠOLTES (Greens/EFA, SI).

The committee called on the European Parliament to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council’s nomination of Leo BRINCAT (MT) as a Member of the Court of Auditors.

Following his hearing which was held on 5 September 2016, the Committee on Budgetary Control considered that the candidate met the requirements laid down in Article 286(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).
