EC/Egypt Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement: accession of Croatia to the EU. Protocol
The European Parliament adopted by 574 votes to 46 with 46 abstentions, a legislative resolution on the draft Council decision on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union and its Member States, of a Protocol to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Arab Republic of Egypt, of the other part, to take account of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.
Parliament gave its consent to conclusion of the Protocol through which Croatia becomes a party to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Arab Republic of Egypt, of the other part. The Agreement was signed on 25 June 2001 and entered into force on 1 June 2004.
