Partial renewal of Members of the Court of Auditors – EE nominee
The European Parliament decided by 447 votes to 98, with 87 abstentions, to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council's nomination of Keit Pentus-Rosimannus as a Member of the Court of Auditors.
Keit Pentus-Rosimannus has served in five Estonian governments as Minister of the Environment (2011-2014), Minister of Foreign Affairs (2014-2015) and Minister of Finance since 2021.
She led Estonian Governments negotiations with the EU Commission over the Recovery and Resilience Plan, she has also been in charge of coordinating the final phase of EU long-term budget planning for 2021-2027.
The Committee on Budgetary Control evaluated Keit Pentus-Rosimannuss credentials. As part of this evaluation, the committee received from a curriculum vitae from Keit Pentus-Rosimannus as well as his answers to a written questionnaire.
The committee then held a hearing with Keit Pentus-Rosimannus on 8 November 2022, during which she made an opening statement and then answered questions put by the members of the committee.
