Partial renewal of Members of the Court of Auditors – HU nominee

The European Parliament decided by 303 votes to 278, with 52 abstentions, to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council's proposal to nominate Ildikó Gáll-Pelcz as a Member of the Court of Auditors

Ildikó Gáll-Pelcz, nominated by the Hungarian government for a new term as a Member of the Court, was a Member of the European Parliament and Vice-President of the European Parliament before joining the European Court of Auditors in 2017.

The Committee on Budgetary Control evaluated the candidate's qualifications. In carrying out that evaluation, the committee received a curriculum vitae from Ildikó Gáll-Pelcz, as well as the replies to the written questionnaire that she had been sent. The committee then held a hearing with Ildikó Gáll-Pelcz on 24 May 2023, during which she made an introductory statement and then answered questions put by committee members.
