Amending certain road transport and aviation Regulations as regards certain reporting requirements

The Committee on Transport and Tourism adopted the report by Jan Christoph OETJEN (Renew, DE) on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulations (EC) No 80/2009, (EU) No 996/2010 and (EU) No 165/2014 as regards certain reporting requirements in the fields of road transport and aviation.

The committee responsible supports the European Commission's proposal to make limited and targeted changes to three regulations in order to streamline reporting obligations. It suggests that the European Parliament approve the Commission's proposal with one amendment.

With regard to Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on tachographs in road transport, Members specify that the competent authorities of the Member States should publish the list of approved workshops and the cards issued to them on a publicly available website and ensure that these lists are kept up to date at least annually.
