Decision electing the European Ombudsman

The European Parliament decided to elect Teresa ANJINHO (Portugal) to exercise the function of European Ombudsman until the end of the parliamentary term and requested her to take an oath before the Court of Justice.

Teresa Anjinho is an independent human rights expert and academic researcher, serving as a member of the Supervisory Committee of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) and previously as Deputy Ombudsman of Portugal.
