Partial renewal of Members of the Court of Auditors - DE nominee

The European Parliament decided by 411 votes to 206, with 25 abstentions, to deliver a favourable opinion on the nomination of Daniel Caspary as a Member of the Court of Auditors.

By letter of 24 October 2025, the Council consulted Parliament on the nomination of Daniel Caspary as a Member of the Court of Auditors.

Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control then proceeded to evaluate Daniel Caspary’s credentials. In carrying out that evaluation, the Committee received a curriculum vitae from Daniel Caspary, as well as the replies to the written questionnaire that he had been sent. Subsequently, it held a hearing with the candidate at which he made an opening statement and then answered questions put by the members of the committee.
