Europol: adjusting the basic salaries and allowances applicable to staff. Initiative Belgium

PURPOSE : to adjust the basic salaries and allowances applicable to Europol staff. CONTENT : the draft Decision, Belgian initiative, intends to adjust the basic salaries and allowances applicable to Europol staff taking into account the review of renumeration of officials of Europol by the Management Board of this institution. To recall, regularly the Management Board takes account of the changes in the cost of living in the Hague (the Netherlands, Europol Headquarters) as well as the changes in salaries in the public service in the Member States and the recruitment needs of Europol. The said review justifies an increase of 5,5% of renumeration for the period between 01.07.2001 and 01.07.2002. A table specifies the amounts of all the basic monthly salaries in all the levels and grades of the public service. �
