2000 discharge: EC general budget, Ombudsman

PURPOSE : presentation of the Council Recommendation on the 2000 discharge procedure (Ombudsman). CONTENT : based on the comments contained in the Court of Auditor's report relating to the 2000 financial year, the Council invites the European Parliament to grant the discharge to the Ombudsman for the implementation of its budget for 2000. However, a series of comments from the Council must be fully taken into consideration and followed-up without delay (for general details of these comments, please refer to procedure DEC/2001/2104).�
