Agenda 2000: beef and veal, reform of the common organisation of the market COM

The committee rejected the report by Georges GAROT (PES, F) on the CAP reform for beef and veal and also rejected the Commission's unamended proposal. Mr GAROT had sought to limit the impact on jobs and regional development of the Commission's market-oriented reform. The committee's main disagreements concerned the level and allocation of premiums and the reduction or abolition of intervention prices.�
