The committee adopted the report by Esko Olavi SEPPÄNEN (EUL/NGL, FIN) approving the Commission proposal unamended under the consultation procedure. It felt that the proposal was in line with the Community's policy objectives and pointed out that the European Parliament attached great importance to strengthening relations between the Eu and Turkey.�
