Amending budget 1/2003: section VII, Committee of the Regions

The committee adopted the report by Per STENMARCK (EPP-ED, S) on the Council's Draft Amending Budget No. 2/2003 (Section VII - Committee of the Regions). It pointed out that the amount requested in the Preliminary Draft Amending Budget presented by the Commission in March 2003 would correspond to a significant increase in the appropriations under Item 251 and that the Committee of the Regions had not considered it necessary to request these appropriations during the budgetary procedure for the 2003 financial year. As there was some margin for manoeuvre for transfers within the Committee of the Regions' total budget for 2003, the committee therefore accepted the modifications which the Council had made to Preliminary Draft Amending Budget No. 2/2003. �
