The information society, culture and education

The Culture Committee approved a draft report on information society, culture and education, prepared by Mrs Eluned MORGAN. The report calls on the European Commission to carry out a comparative study regarding the use of new information technologies in schools in the Member States. The Commission should facilitate exchanges of experience, promote new actions, and stimulate research and coordination of activities within the European Union. Member States are encouraged to promote the use of educational software, in particular for people with learning difficulties or other disabilities. �
