Structural business statistics: additional sectors, credit institutions and pension funds

The committee adopted the report by Astrid LULLING (EPP-ED, L) broadly approving the Commission proposal, subject to a number of mainly technical amendments (codecision procedure, 1st reading). The amendments were mostly concerned with categories, including the number of women working in the financial sector. The committee also took the view that it was not necessary at this stage to stipulate the detailed information required for environmental protection. It felt that this could wait until the later implementing, stage and adopted an amendment accordingly.�
