The committee adopted the report by its chair, Christa RANDZIO-PLATH (PES, D), recommending that Parliament endorse the appointment of José Manuel GONZÁLEZ PÁRAMO as a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank to replace Eugenio DOMINGO SOLANS, who would be stepping down at the end of May 2004. �
