EC/Comoros fisheries agreement: protocol for the period from 28 February 1998 to 27 February 2001

The Committee has adopted the report by Allan MACARTNEY (ERA, UK) on the fisheries agreement with the Islamic Republic of the Comores. In essence, the amendments adopted call for Parliament to be provided with more information before any extension of the agreement. The information would be supplied in a report, to be drawn up by the Commission, on the application and implementation of the agreement.
