EC/Kyrgyzstan Interim Agreement on trade and trade-related matters

The committee unanimously adopted the draft legislative resolution in which the European Parliament approved the conclusion of an interim agreement between the European Union and Kyrgyzstan. While noting that this agreement practically takes over the economic and commercial aspects of the partnership agreement wholesale, the rapporteur, Mr Chesa(UPE, F), affirmed that the size of the areas covered under the partnership and cooperation treaty augured particularly well for the future of economic and commercial relations between the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the European Union.�
