Customs 2000: action programme for Community

OBJECTIVE: provide additional financing for the IDA programme (programme for the exchange
of information between Community administrations) for the period 1998-2000, in view of the fact
that its budget has been incorporated into that of the Customs 2000 programme since 1997.
SUBSTANCE: the proposal for a decision is intended solely to make appropriate supplementary
financing for IDA projects in the customs sector for the period 1998-2000 coinciding with the
period
of funding for the Customs 2000 programme (1996-2000). ECU 85 million is currently earmarked
for this purpose.�
