Trans-European energy networks, guidelines: list of projects of common interest

OBJECTIVE: to update the list of common-interest projects in the energy sector as part of the trans-European networks. SUBSTANCE: The Commission proposes to update the indicative list of common-interest projects in the annex to Decision 1254/96/EC, altering the description of some projects on the list and adding to the list new projects which have reached an advanced state of preparation and which meet the criteria laid down in that decision. The Commission has selected 19 projects. They comprise: - four projects previously identified, whose description is to be altered; - three which were already included in the Commission's proposal on laying down a series of guidelines on trans-European energy networks, and which are being proposed again; - twelve new projects.�
