Potato starch: quota system for the production

OBJECTIVE : to reduce the quotas for the production of potato starch. CONTENT : Bearing in mind the Council's March 1999 decision (the Agenda 2000 compromise) to increase the amount of the premium to producers of potato starch for the 2000/2001 and subsequent years subject to a decrease in the quotas for potato starch production, the Commission is proposing a reduction in the quotas in question for the years 2000/2001 and 2001/2002. �
