Revised community eco-label award scheme (regul. 880/92/EEC)

The Council's Common Position takes on board many of the European Parliament's amendments, which have been carefully assessed. The amendments introduced in the text do not affect the spirit of the original Commission Proposal of improving the efficiency of the Scheme. This key objective is maintained and even reinforced. The Scheme will become more transparent in the eyes of consumers and of economic operators. The Commission is also satisfied that the Common Position received the unanimous support of all the Member States.�
