National aid granted in compensation for losses of agricultural income caused by monetary movements

- OBJECTIVE: to provide for national aid to be granted in compensation for losses of income caused by monetary movements in other Member States. - COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Regulation (EC) No 2611/95. - SUBSTANCE: * Where it can be justified by elements of fact that agricultural producers in given production sectors have incurred considerable losses in income, because of major monetary movements which have occurred in other Member States since the beginning of the 1994/1995 period, and by 31.12.1995 at the latest, lump-sum compensation, which is graduated over 3 years, may be granted to the producers concerned, on the basis of national financing; * Aid cannot be granted in a manner which favours the production of one particular sector; * The Member State shall determine the amounts of aid granted and the procedures to be applied and shall submit this information, for approval, to the Commission for authorization in accordance with the procedural measures laid down under Article 93 of the Treaty; * A Member State cannot submit an application for aid, under the regulation, after 30.06.1996. * ENTRY INTO FORCE: 17.11.1995. �
