Textile industry, clothing: methods for the quantitative analysis of binary textile fibre mixtures (consolidation)

OBJECTIVE: to codify, with a view to greater clarity and logic, Council Directive 72/276/EEC on
the approximation of the Member States' laws on certain methods for the quantitative analysis of
binary textile fibre mixtures, a directive which has been substantially amended on several occasions.
COMMUNITY MEASURE: European Parliament and Council Directive 96/73/EC.
SUBSTANCE: the new directive replaces the various directives which were the subject of the
codification operation; it makes no changes at all to the codified texts, restricting itself to
reorganizing them and making the formal changes required by the codification operation.
