The Parliament approved the text of the Commission's proposal subject to several amendments. The rapporteur was Mr. Antonios TRAKATELLIS (EPP, Greece). The Parliament amended the harvests covered by the proposal to cover the harvest of 2002. Most of the amendments relate to the quotas for individual categories of tobacco.�
