Agricultural prices 1997/1998 - Cereals Adopting the report by Mr Robert STURDY (PPE, UK), Parliament proposed maintaining the moisture content at 15% and improving the support system for protein crops to ensure a comparison in profitability with other arable crops. It also called for the monthly increases to the intervention price to be maintained at the same level as in the 1996/1997 marketing year, i.e. ECU 1.1 per tonne per month (the Commission proposed a reduction to ECU 1 per tonne per month). �
