Sugars intended for human consumption

Under consultation procedure, the European Parliament adopted the report by Paul A.A.J.G. Lannoye (V,BE), which approves the Commission proposal for a Council directive relating to certain sugars intended for human consumption, subject to amendments adopted at the sitting of 14/01/98, together with a compromise amendment providing that the Commission propose as quickly as possible, and at all events before 01/07/2000, the inclusion in directive 80/232/EEC of a range of nominal weights of the products covered by the proposed directive.�
