Agricultural prices 1997/1998: basic price and standard quality for pig carcases

Prices for agricultural products 1997/98 - pigmeat.
The Council adopted Regulation (EC) No 1192/97 fixing the basic price and defining the standard
quality for pig carcases for the period 1 July 1997 to 30 June 1998.
SUBSTANCE: the basic price for slaughtered pigs of the standard quality was to remain unchanged,
namely 1509.39 ECU per ton. The standard quality (unchanged) was defined in relation to the
weight and the lean meat content of the carcase, as follows:
- carcases weighing 60 to less than 120 kg: grade E,
- carcases weighing 120 to 180 kg: grade R.
