Creation of the Employment Committee

In adopting the report drafte by Mr. Winfried MENRAD (EPP, D), the European Parliament approved the draft decision establishing the Employment Committee, but asked that it should regularly consult the social partners. It also asked that the Committee should work with other relevant bodies and committees dealing with financial and social policy matters.�
