Decision approving the Commission in its new form

The European Parliament approved, by 324 votes in favour to 12 against with 65 abstentions, the new line-up of the European Commission, following the nomination of Stavros Dimas to replace Anna Diamantopoulou, who left the Commission after being elected to the Greek Parliament. Mr Dimas's term of office, like that of the rest of the Commission, runs to 31 October 2004. The vote comes after Mr Dimas responded to questions from MEPs on the Committee for Employment and Social Affairs on Tuesday 30 March.�
