Supplementary and amending budget 2/2000

The European Parliament adopted a resolution on its supplementary estimates for the 2000 financial year, based on a report by Kyosti Tapio VIRRANKOSKI (ELDR, Finland). The estimates are attached o the resolution. The new amount of the contribution by the European Communities towards Parliament's budget is EUR 919 760 438. Parliament noted that the margin in heading 5 of the financial perspective for the financial year 2000 is EUR 90.7 million. The pay-back period for Parliament's buildings should be as short as possible in order to keep the overall interest burden to a minimum.�
