Social exclusion: Community action programme 2001-2005 to encourage cooperation between Member States

By adopting the report, at second reading, by Mrs Ilda FIGUEIRDO (EUL/NGL, P), the European Parliament approved the common position, as set out in the previous text, with a number of amendments. These relate in particular to the funding of the programme which is to be EUR 100 million for the years 2001-2005 instead of EUR 70 million proposed by the Council. Moreover, it should also be noted that the Parliament should be informed of the progress made under the programme.�
