Environment: 6th Community action programme 2001-2010

The European Parliament adopted the resolution by Mrs Riitta MYLLER (PES, FIN) approving the Commission's proposed Environment Action Programme for the next ten years, subject to numerous binding amendments that seek to pin the programme down to specific objectives and a firm timetable for achieving them. Voting was 274 to 150 with 31 abstentions.
