The European Parliament adopted the report drafted by Mr Emmanouil MASTORAKIS (PES, GR). The Parliament wants the name of the Agency to contain a reference to pollution prevention order to make clear that its activities are not restricted to safety but include preventing pollution of the maritime environment. MEPs also felt the Agency should able to carry unannounced on-the-spot inspections.�
