By adopting the report by Mr Paul LANNOYE (Greens/ALE, B), the European Parliament approved the proposal with amendments concerning the deletion of the measure relating to information to consumers.
Furthermore, it is proposed that grape juice may be obtained from grapes treated by means of sulfitation with sulphur dioxide, provided that the total quantity of SO2 present in the final product does not exceed 10mg/l. Desulfitation by physical means is authorised.
Lastly, during the de-bittering process limonoid glucosides may be removed as far as technologically necessary. �
