Ombudsman: regulations and general conditions of performance of duties

The European Parliament voted by 131 to 0 with 4 abstentions to endorse the resolution drafted by Mrs Teresa ALMEIDA GARRETT (EPP/ED, P) that amends current legislation on the Ombudsman's budget. The changes will mean that there will be a separate section in the general budget of the Communities for the budget of the Ombudsman rather than incorporated in an annex to Parliament's budget, as is currently the case. �
