Maritime transport: formalities for ships arriving in and departing from Member States ports, IMO FAL convention

The European Parliament approved the report by Ari VATANEN (ELDR, FIN) with a number of technical amendments aimed inter alia at bring the the text into line with the IMO FAL Convention. The Parliament also suggests that Member States should bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive no later than 18 months after its entry into force.�
