The committee adopted the report by Margarita STARKEVIČIŪTĖ (ALDE, LT), broadly approving the proposal, subject to a
number of amendments (codecision procedure, 1st reading). Several of these were aimed at reducing the costs to businesses of collecting and providing the data required by statistical agencies. Other amendments sought to improve the quality evaluation of statistical aggregates.
