European Commission: election for the term of office running from 22 November 2004 to 31 October 2009 and resolution on the election of the new Commission

PURPOSE : to present the draft Council Decision, taken by common accord with the nominee for President of the Commission, adopting the list of other persons whom the Council intends to appoint as Members of the Commission of the European Communities, repealing and replacing Decision 2004/642/EC, Euratom.

CONTENT : following the evaluation of the hearings of the proposed Commissioners and the European Parliament's debate, Mr Barroso, elected President, decided on the 27 October 2004 to withdrawn the proposed Commission.
