The committee adopted the report by Francesco SPERONI (ALDE, UK) proposing that Parliament should defend the immunity and privileges of a former Member of the European Parliament, Jean-Charles MARCHIANI, in connection with judgment No 1784 of the French Cour de Cassation (Court of Cassation) of 16 March 2005.
