Wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors: field of vision and windscreen wipers (repeal. Directive 74/347/EEC). Codification

PURPOSE: to codify provisions in the field of vision and windscreen wipers for wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors.

PROPOSED ACT: Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council.

CONTENT: the purpose of this proposal is to codify EU provisions in the field of vision and windscreen wipers for wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors, as set out in Directive 74/347/EEC.  In codifying acts that have been amended frequently the EU is seeking to both simplify and clarify EU legislation.

Given that no changes of substance have been made to the instruments affected by the codification exercise this proposal will be the subject of an accelerated procedure. The new Directive will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. If fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bring them together, with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
