Community statistical system: common statistical classification of economic activities NACE

The European Parliament adopted, by 602 votes to 12 with 11 abstentions, a legislative resolution approving, under the 1st reading of the codecision procedure, the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and the Council on the statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community (codified version).
The report was tabled for plenary by Lidia Joanna GERINGER DE OEDENBERG (PES, PL) on behalf of the Legal Affairs Committee.
The proposal was approved as adapted to the recommendations of the Consultative Working Party of the Legal Services of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission.
