EC/Côte d'Ivoire stepping stone Economic Partnership Agreement

This proposal for a decision forms the legal basis by which the Côte d'Ivoire, of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part conclude a stepping stone Economic Partnership Agreement.  

The content of the Agreement is consistent with the Commission’s initial proposal (please refer to the summary of the initial proposal dated 10 July 2008). The Agreement was initialled on 7 December 2007 and has been provisionally applied pending its entry into force.

The Agreement requires the European Parliament’s assent.
