European Aviation Safety Agency: budget and finances, access to documents

PURPOSE : to bring into line the constituent acts of the decentralised Community bodies with the new Financial Regulation of June 2002 as well as with the Regulation on public access to documents of May 2001. LEGISLATIVE ACT : Regulation 1643/2003/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation 1592/2002/EC on common rules in the field of civil aviation and establishing a European Aviation Safety Agency. CONTENT : this Regulation amends Regulation 1592/2002/EC concerning, on the one hand, the financial and budgetary rules of the Agency with a view to ensuring consistency with the new Financial Regulation which entered into force on 1 January 2003 and, on the other hand, the access to documents with a view to implementing Regulation 1049/2001/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2001 on public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents.
